Holiday Inn Express ~ Blairsville GA

Where do you stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains of GA?

Holiday Inn Express Blairsville

We rolled into Blairsville Georgia after 8 hours on hairpin mountain roads, after being advised on the wrong mountain route! What should have been a 4 hour drive, took 8 hours. Exhausted, cranky, worn down, we popped into the Holiday Inn Express at almost 11pm, as opposed to 7:30 or 8.

We checked in and went to our room. It was a CLEAN hotel!!!! We walked in, beds were neatly made and all was in order. The bathroom was scrubbed immaculately! We were so excited – and it rubbed some of the weariness from our long journey over the Appalachian Mountains to get there!

Our first night was great – quiet, peaceful slumber. We woke up the next morning in a hurry to get to the NGEC Conference, where I was speaking. The FREE breakfast was better than most, with omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy (we are in the South honey!) and the Holiday Inn’s famous cinnamon rolls. Their decaf coffee was actually pretty good.

We came back from the NGEC conference Saturday night to a quiet hotel. Exhausted after a day of speaking, we headed to the pool for a cool dip on a hot day! An indoor pool that can be used year round, quite refreshing.

Comfortable beds, great service, and helpful employees – we recommend the Holiday Inn Express at Blairsville. Tell them Living History Sites sent you!
